The great differences in its own climate offer the rainforests in the north, the eastern plains, the Andes Mountains to the west, and the glaciers in the south. Argentina offers each aspect of vacationing within its own borders.

Argentina holds wonderful plant and animal life that is exemplified along the coast of Patagonia in the south. Elephant seals, sea lions, and penguins all dot this region while other areas in the south are home to the Puma, the wild boar, and the pudu, the world's smallest deer. In the northern part of the country is the Iguazu Falls National Park that preserves the local rainforests. This park is home to Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat) which is a falls shared with Brazil. This area also offers many things for travelers in the way of tours and entertainment.

If you are looking for a beach atmosphere on your vacation to Argentina, you may consider heading to Mar del Plata. This is home to the Mar del Plata Film Festival that you may be familiar with. Remember that if you are planning a beach vacation to Argentina that their seasons are opposite from the northern hemisphere. Their beach season runs from December through March.

If you are looking for a lot of action and things to do on your trip to Argentina, then a trip to Buenos Aires is the right place for you to go. Buenos Aires offers many cultural activities and was once called the "Paris of the Southern Hemisphere". You may choose dinner and a night out on the town at one of the many Tango clubs. The traditional asado (Argentine Steak) is a must on your vacation to Buenos Aires. For a daytime excursion, many tourists frequent the shopping districts. The exchange rate traditionally is very good for the American dollar and causes many people to replenish their closets with the latest fashions.
